According to the Kern County Fire Department, several structures have collapsed, including homes, businesses, and schools. Emergency responders are currently on the scene conducting search and rescue operations.

The earthquake was felt throughout Southern California, with reports of shaking as far north as Mammoth Lakes and as far south as San Diego. Power outages have been reported in multiple areas, and roads have been closed due to debris and damage.
